VisitorVille: Overview

VisitorVille is an intensely innovative Windows desktop program that does it all: enables you to visualize traffic (real-time or historical) on your web site; generate meaningful, enterprise-quality web site statistics; interact with your visitors; track sales conversions and search engine effectiveness; measure clickstreams and advertising performance; and derive intelligence from user behavior.

VisitorVille is two products in one: A Hosted service, and a Log Analyzer. If you want accurate, comprehensive information on your web site, then you need both a hosted solution and a log analyzer. VisitorVille is the first service to offer both services in a single package, for a reasonable flat-rate fee. VisitorVille also affords you the flexibility to use either the Hosted solution, the Log Analyzer, or both together.

Visual Intelligence

What makes VisitorVille unique is immediately clear: VisitorVille does not represent website visitors as numbers or graphs, but as real people in a real environment. You can watch your site traffic as if you were watching a movie. A picture is worth a thousand words, or a thousand statistics or bar charts!

Real People
Your website visitors are depicted as real people, each with different personalities based on their web origins (ex. ".edu" visitors are depicted as academics, ".com" visitors as business people, etc.) and nationality.

Real Pages
Your web pages are represented as individual houses, each with a yard; or dynamically resizing and illuminating skyscrapers on city blocks. People visit the buildings corresponding to the pages they visit on your site. They stay for precisely the amount of time they stay on your page. If they stay more than n minutes on a page, they are assumed to have left your site, and are depicted as skeletons.

Real Referrers
The websites that bring visitors to your sites, such as search engines and sites that link to yours, are commonly called "referrers". In VisitorVille, they are depicted as busses. Each bus, clearly labelled to show you who the referrer is, drops visitors off at the front gate of their destination.

Real Time or Historical
Any time you launch VisitorVille for Windows, you can view your website traffic in real time. Or use the handy Virtual VCR to "play back" traffic for any hour, or any day, for the life of your subscription! (VisitorVille stores all information 24/7 for you, whether you have your computer on or off).

Visitor Interaction

Initiate chat with any visitor to your web site. Plus, have them able to interact with you via robust Live Help. Your visitors are no longer mere IP addresses: they are alive, and you can assist and engage with them simply by selecting a visitor and clicking "Chat" (and your visitors don't need any software, either!)

Clickstream Analysis

VisitorVille visually displays which links your visitors are clicking, and which links are ignored. View real-time clickstreams, or select any timerange you like.
